FAQ
Everything you need to know
Have questions about working with me? Here's clear info about my services, process, and what to expect. If you need more details, feel free to reach out!
What services do you offer?
I work as a backend-focused fullstack developer — building microservices and APIs (Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, GraphQL), web applications (React, Next.js, TypeScript), and increasingly AI-driven features on top of them. I also help with DevOps, deployment and ongoing maintenance.
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope — a small website or feature can take a few days to a couple of weeks, while a full backend system or product build can take a few months. I like to break work into clear milestones and keep you updated throughout.
Do you work with startups and small businesses?
Yes. I've built systems for everything from a solo hockey club website to production microservices serving millions of users at scale — I tailor the approach to the size and needs of the project.
Can you take over or improve an existing project?
Absolutely. I regularly step into existing codebases to fix bugs, improve performance, add features, or modernize the stack — whether that's a legacy backend or an outdated frontend.
Do you work full-time or take on freelance projects?
I currently work as a Kotlin backend developer, and take on select freelance and personal projects alongside that. Reach out and I'll let you know if I have capacity for what you have in mind.
Do you provide ongoing support after launch?
Yes — I offer post-launch support, monitoring and maintenance so your application keeps running smoothly, with fixes and improvements as needed.
How do we get started?
Send me a message through the contact form or by email with a bit about your project and goals. We'll set up a call to go over the details, and I'll follow up with my recommended approach and timeline.
